How to use it

  1. Choose or drop your images, in any mix of formats.
  2. Set the order, page size, margin and (if a form has a limit) a maximum file size.
  3. Press Make PDF.

Formats it accepts

JPEG and PNG go in directly. HEIC/HEIF (iPhone) photos are decoded with libheif, and multi-page TIFF scans with the UTIF parser, both running in this tab. WebP, GIF (first frame) and BMP are decoded by your browser. Each image becomes one page; a multi-page TIFF becomes several.

Hitting an upload limit

Job portals, visa and exam sites often cap uploads at 100 KB, 200 KB or 1 MB. Choose the limit under File size: Docrift shrinks the pixel size and JPEG quality step by step, testing the real encoded size, until the whole PDF fits. It tells you if a limit cannot be met with that many pages.

Without any website

On Windows, select the images in File Explorer, right-click → Print, and choose “Microsoft Print to PDF”. On a Mac, select them in Finder, open in Preview, then File → Print → PDF → Save as PDF. On iPhone, select photos → Share → Print, then pinch outward on the preview and share the result as a PDF. These work, but they give you less control over order, margins and size.

Questions

How do I convert a photo to PDF on my phone?

Open this page in your phone’s browser, tap the drop area and pick photos from your gallery or camera roll. The PDF is made on the phone and saved to Downloads (Android) or Files (iPhone).

Can I make a PDF smaller than 100 KB?

Yes, choose “Under 100 KB” under File size. One or two pages fit easily; a long series of photos may not, and Docrift will say so.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Decoding and PDF assembly run in your browser; you can go offline after the page loads.

Which image formats work?

JPG/JPEG, PNG, HEIC/HEIF, WebP, GIF, BMP and TIFF (including multi-page TIFF).

Does the order of pages follow the file names?

They are added in the order you pick them. Use the arrow buttons to rearrange before converting.
